Having toured coast to coast and the United States, They paved the way for Latin Jazz music in Toronto opening some of the biggest Latin Jazz Festivals & venues .

This elite 14-piece Orchestra  La Gran Colombia, has been backing up international artists since 2009, artists like Luisito Carrion, Maelo Ruiz,Yan Collazo, Latin Brothers, Luis Felipe Gozalez, Lisandro Meza, Gabriel Romero, just to name a few . Also has Participated in Many festivasl across Canada 
This orchestra will take you directly to the dance floor with their salsa and tropical rhythms that are guaranteed to get your feet moving. Wilson Acevedo, one of Toronto’s Latin Music industry Pioneer, is the musical director of this great ensemble. Acevedo’s new project, La Gran Colombia Orchestra pays tribute to one of the Great Colombian composers, Jairo Varela. Composer and author of songs like ‘Cali Pachanguero’, ‘Como Podré Disimular’, and ‘Nuestro Sueño’ are just a few of Varela’s greatest hits that catapulted Colombian Salsa internationally. La Gran Colombia Orchestra’s up-tempo dance music, will remind you of the essence of the True Colombian Salsaat it's best.
Acevedo is also a former founder, composer & author of Toronto’s Fiercest Salsa band, Caché. Wilson Acevedo became known throughout Canada, USA and Europe with some of his hit songs such as Contigo, El Sonero Llegó. Wilson has 5 diverse CDs under his belt. After his successful career with many bands, not only because of his compositions but also because of his professionalism, he branches out and successfully releases 2 additional solo CDs, EN  TRANCE and his latest album, QUIERO Salsa con Estilo, has quickly captivated the hearts of the dancers, DJs and fans. This new album contains 9 songs that are not only for the dancers but also for the Latin Jazz Lovers.
